TactStaff EDU is seeking passionate and dedicated Occupational Therapists (OTs) to join school districts throughout DuPage County, Illinois for the 2026-2027 school year. Multiple openings are available across K-12 caseloads, allowing candidates to find the setting that best matches their experience and interests.

As a School-Based Occupational Therapist, you will:

  • Provide occupational therapy services in accordance with students' IEPs
  • Conduct evaluations and re-evaluations
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
  • Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, administrators, and families
  • Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with district, state, and federal requirements
  • Support students in developing fine motor, sensory, self-help, and school participation skills
  • Travel between school sites if assigned to multiple campuses

Compensation

  • $2,000 - $2,460 weekly gross pay
  • Weekly direct deposit

Qualifications

Required:

  • Master's or Doctorate Degree in Occupational Therapy
  • Active Illinois Occupational Therapist License issued by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR)
  • NBCOT Certification (or eligibility)
  • Ability to obtain and maintain all district onboarding requirements
  • Previous pediatric or school-based experience preferred but not required

Preferred:

  • Experience working within school settings
  • Knowledge of IDEA, IEP processes, and special education regulations
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills


Illinois School Requirements

To provide occupational therapy services in Illinois schools, candidates must hold an active Illinois Occupational Therapist license through IDFPR. Illinois regulations recognize licensed occupational therapists as qualified personnel to provide OT services in educational settings. Some districts may also require additional school-specific clearances and onboarding requirements.
