Intro / Summary
Circle Safety & Health Consultants is hiring an experienced safety professional to support construction and industrial clients in the Richmond area and beyond. This role will initially focus on Site Safety and Health Officer (SSHO) responsibilities on short-term local projects with minimal travel, while also supporting broader consulting work as needed.

Circle Safety & Health Consultants has provided occupational safety and health services since 1995. We are a small, experienced team that works closely with clients to improve workplace safety through field support, training, audits, inspections, and compliance assistance.
Responsibilities
- Perform Site Safety and Health Officer duties on assigned short term projects in the Richmond area
- Conduct safety assessments, inspections, and site evaluations
- Identify hazards and recommend practical corrective actions
- Support OSHA compliance and regulatory readiness
- Deliver safety training to employees and supervisors
- Investigate incidents and recommend preventive measures
- Build strong client relationships as a trusted safety advisor
- Manage assigned projects with a high level of independence
Qualifications
- 5–10 years of experience in occupational safety, EHS, or a related field
- Current OSHA 500, CSP, GSP, CHST, STSC, or equivalent credential preferred
- Strong knowledge of OSHA standards and safety compliance practices
- Experience conducting site assessments and identifying workplace risks
- Strong communication and client-facing skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple assignments
