Physician (MD/DO) – Occupational Health / Urgent Care
Location: Modesto, CA
Schedule: Monday – Friday | 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
Compensation: $250,000 – $300,000 + benefits, CME, and more
Overview
We are seeking a Physician (MD/DO) to provide full-time clinical care in a high-volume occupational health and urgent care center. This role focuses on delivering efficient, high-quality patient care while supporting team performance, safety, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide 100% direct patient care in an outpatient clinic setting
- Serve as Primary Treating Physician (PTP) for occupational injuries
- Collaborate with therapists and specialists to optimize outcomes and case resolution
- Supervise and support APPs (NPs/PAs) and clinical staff
- Ensure compliance with state practice laws and workers’ compensation regulations
- Communicate with employers regarding new injuries and clinical updates
- Participate in care team meetings to improve quality, safety, and workflows
- Support clinic operations including staffing, efficiency, and patient flow
- Maintain accurate documentation, coding, and clinical system usage
- Build and maintain relationships with clients, employers, and payers
- Contribute to performance metrics, budgeting, and business goals
- Promote a culture of teamwork, safety, and continuous improvement
Qualifications
- MD or DO from an accredited medical program
- Active or in-progress California medical license
- Board Certified or Board Eligible (ABPM, ABFM, AOA, or equivalent)
- Active DEA registration
- Current BLS and AED certification (ACLS preferred)
- NRCME (DOT Medical Examiner) certification or ability to obtain within 30 days
