The Observation Unit Advanced Practice Provider Advanced Practice Provider utilizes a patient-centered coordinated care model, demonstrating competencies
in leadership, direct clinical practice, consultation/collaboration, coaching/guiding, research, and ethical decision-making. The APN or PA
works collaboratively with the practice/hospital team to assess, plan, and implement care for individuals with health and safety needs. The
position will cover multiple cardiac service lines where needed (Observation, HF/MI, and Cath lab).
-Minimum of 3 years of experience in an acute care setting (hospital-based experience) required
-Cardiology experience strongly preferred
-Current APP licensure and certification (ACNP or PA) in good standing
-Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills
-Excellent communication skills, proven team player, ability to multitask and prioritize, and proactive and creative problem-solver with a
focus on process improvement, care coordination, and patient-centered solutions.
Evenings, per diem
Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required: 1. Graduate of an NLN/AACN accredited nursing program. 2. Master's or Doctorate
degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program. 3. Maintains clinical competencies through continuing education and clinical
practice. 4. Experience in a relevant patient care setting (or as regulations dictate). 5. National Provider Identifier (NPI). 6. Prescriptive
authority through CDS and DEA registration according to New Jersey state law. 7. Collaborative agreement with physicians on staff. 8.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 9. Proficient computer skills that include but are not limited to Microsoft Office and/or

State Professional Registered Nurse License. 2. New Jersey Advance Practice Nurse License. 3. BLS AHA Basic Health Care Life Support HCP

Required Qualifications
Education:
Successful completion of a Physician Assistant program accredited by the AMA Council on Medical Education.
Licensure & Certifications:
Current, unrestricted New Jersey Physician Assistant License.
Certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
Skills & Abilities:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency with computer platforms, including Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite.
