As an Advanced Practice Provider, you'll play an integral role in our care teams by providing high-quality, cost-effective care to patients.
We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant to:
PProvide advanced inpatient care for cardiothoracic transplant patients
Preop orders and postoperative for heart and lung transplant patients
Participation in Heart Failure/Shock team protocols
Support surgical elements of the lung and heart transplant programs (which works closely with the Advanced Pulmonary/ECMO program, Heart Failure/MCS programs)
Support ECMO specialists, VAD specialists
Participation in daily rounding, multidisciplinary rounds, review for appropriate billing
Clinical Management of Advanced Therapies- Impella, ECMO, LVAD
Complex wound management, chest tubes, pacing wires, sternal closure monitoring, participation in bedside procedures
Work at an ECMO Center of Excellence and Level 1 Trauma Center.
Outpatient participation for patient work-up and continuity of care
Preoperative evaluation for heart and lung transplant patients including VAD and transplant candidacy
Participate in transplant selection conference
Coordinate care from inpatient to outpatient transplant clinic
