Overview:

ACS Professional Staffing is looking for an employee to work on-site with our client. This Nuclear Project Scheduler II will develop, maintain, and integrate detailed project schedules using Primavera and Passport to support nuclear and engineering projects. The role partners with project managers and cross functional teams to plan on line work, outages, and capital projects while managing risk, critical path, and schedule performance. Responsibilities include monitoring progress, resolving schedule conflicts, supporting cost and resource planning, and ensuring work is completed safely, on time, and within budget. The position requires relevant education or technical experience, proven scheduling and project controls knowledge, strong coordination skills, and a commitment to safety, quality, and cost effective execution. This full-time position is located in Richland, WA.


Pay rate: $65.67 - $92.68

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, manage, and maintain detailed project schedules, including activity dates, sequencing, and logic, for Nuclear and Engineering projects
  • Perform ongoing schedule maintenance and integration between Passport and Primavera scheduling tools
  • Assist project managers in developing schedules for on-line work, refueling outages, forced outages, and life cycle projects
  • Deliver timely, accurate, coherent, and comprehensive schedules for assigned projects
  • Develop project schedules commensurate with project size and complexity to manage risk, track progress, and control critical path and float
  • Support capital project activities by coordinating with planning, engineering, operations, and related stakeholders
  • Monitor schedule progress, identify delays or conflicts, and support resolution efforts to maintain project timelines
  • Support planning, leading, controlling, and monitoring activities to ensure work is performed safely, with quality, on schedule, and within budget
  • Assist with budget development and track cost versus budget for assigned projects
  • Support work package preparation, parts procurement, ALARA planning, clearance order preparation, work prioritization, resource loading, and risk management
  • Interface frequently with clients, engineers, vendors, contractors, and management to ensure project alignment and progress
  • Support contract development and vendor coordination efforts
  • Prepare and deliver written and oral communications to various audiences, including senior management
  • Develop and maintain long range planning strategies for assigned projects
  • Support implementation of the Self Assessment and Corrective Action Program
  • Adhere to core human performance values and support cost effective work execution


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, Business, or a related field from an accredited college or university
  • OR Associate’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, Business, or a related technical field and 2 years of experience in a technical field
  • OR High School Diploma or GED and 4 years of experience in a technical field
  • Commercial nuclear power plant experience
  • Experience supporting project scheduling and planning activities
  • Knowledge of project scheduling tools, including Primavera and Passport
  • Understanding of project controls, including schedule tracking and progress measurement
  • Ability to support on-line work, outage projects, and capital project planning
  • Strong coordination and communication skills to interface with project teams, vendors, and management
  • Commitment to safety, quality, human performance principles, and cost effective work execution
