Thermacell is a wholly owned subsidiary of a privately held global consumer products company and operated independently. Thermacell is home to 125+ full-time employees across three U.S. hubs — Bedford, MA (Corporate Headquarters), Buford, GA (Manufacturing & Distribution), and Hampton, FL (Science & Research Center) — and is expanding its footprint in the UK & Europe.


ROLE PURPOSE:

Reporting to the Sr. Manager, the Sales Coordinator plays a critical role in supporting the North American sales team (currently a team of 7) by acting as a key point of contact between customers, sales representatives, and internal departments to help drive revenue growth, improve customer satisfaction, and maintain accurate sales records. The actual duties will vary greatly during the calendar in this highly seasonal business. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. This role will also be responsible for resourcing all industry and distributor trade shows including managing & tracking schedules for each. This role will collaborate with Marketing and Sales to deliver appropriate brand and sales action plans for each show while delivering on all business objectives. Finally, this person will be responsible for managing the Bedford (very small but mighty) distribution center including tracking inventory and ensuring samples of all products are in-stock.

WORKING HOURS: Typically, between 9am -5pm Monday - Friday (open to some flexibility)

WORK LOCATION: Corporate Office - 32 Crosby Dr Bedford MA 01730.

TRAVEL: 5%

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure accuracy of customer pricing, product specifications, and all related product documentation, including the creation of annual price sheets, working with sales leaders and order admin
  • Coordinate the gathering and distribution of sales samples, including executing FPO sample builds within tight timelines for line reviews and meetings.
  • Plan and organize meetings and functions on behalf of the NA sales team
  • Manage and support special projects as assigned.
  • Ship sales samples and collateral materials as needed (catalogs, rebate forms, price sheets, etc.)
  • Partner with Sales Planner on customer engagement calendar and key customer contacts. Enable ease of access.
  • Maintain a sales promotion calendar for key customers and review monthly with the broader commercial team, as well as customer engagement trackers, line review calendars and others
  • Manage contracts (store and accessibility) for all Broker and departmental service providers across NA.
  • Basic ad-hoc reporting on behalf of NS sales team in NetSuite
  • Owner of new customer account setup & maintenance for NA
  • Creation and maintenance within NetSuite
  • Responsible for ensuring all customer documentation is accurate, complete and on file, working with inside and outside brokers to do this.
  • Partner closely with the Sales team to support execution of sales documents, vendor account setup, item setup spreadsheets, SDS and PFAS, and other administrative functions.
  • Partner with OrderAdmin & Finance to maintain payment term integrity and documentation.
  • Review wholesale applications and escalate qualified candidates to internal stakeholders for review and approval
  • Responsible for coordinating and project managing product testing for all existing and new products launching at Walmart, Sam’s Club & Costco on an annual basis
  • Act as administrator managing and maintaining customer portals including Retail Link, One World Sync, GS1 Canada, Meijer, REI, UL and Menards.
  • Plan, organize, and execute trade shows.
  • Create and manage annual tradeshow budget, tracking all expenses as well as our show calendar providing timely visibility to the organization.
  • Responsible for coordinating trade show service providers as needed, renting equipment, managing set-up & tear-down as well as warehousing of booths for all shows.
  • Owner of all booth assets collateral like catalogs, sell sheets etc., including the inbound/outbound shipping of samples, coordination with Marketing on any required branding etc.
  • Forecast & order empty packaging that will be needed for the displays & show booths.
  • Demonstrate excellent negotiating skills when working with show sponsors and vendors – negotiate best price for shows, hotels, meeting rooms and other materials.
  • Work with Marketing and Sales to book promotional opportunities including New Product Showcase, special show events, hot show discounts, coupon books, etc.
  • Book hotel and meeting room space as needed
  • Ship and track all materials to shows while meeting advance warehouse dates; goal is to minimize cost and ship in the most efficient way. Coordinate shipping of products and displays from our Buford, GA Warehouse. Ensure process being used get product to show in excellent condition. Periodic trips to Atlanta will likely be needed to ensure a high level of success.
  • Review booths and materials after each show for wear and tear and repair as needed. You are the expert on all show booths and materials.
  • Responsible for shipping, receiving and inventory of samples on behalf of NA sales team
  • Maintain current DOT, IATA/HAZMAT certifications
  • Responsible for inventory levels, quarterly physical inventories in Bedford
  • Communicate to office manager shipping materials (boxes, tape, box cutters, labels, etc.) needed

COMPENSATION

Compensation for this position will include a competitive base salary ($59,000 - $75,600) and an Annual Target Bonus opportunity. Details provided separately.

Additionally, a company shutdown period is offered for one week between Christmas and New Year’s Day where the majority of business operations pause, and employees are encouraged to rest and recover together. Critical functions may require limited coverage to ensure business continuity.

Requirements

  • 3+ years within Fast moving consumer goods Customer facing and or Sales support roles.
  • Experience working for a major CPG manufacturer in Sales Department for US and Canada.
  • Experience leading teams indirectly and setting a clear timeline to achieve project goals / vision.
  • Understanding of all trade channels – in store, online, and elements that drive both.
  • Demonstrated cross-functional collaboration + influence capabilities.
  • Experience in Accounting or Finance + Trade Management/Sales Support
  • Strong project management and leadership skills, especially delivering against timelines.
  • Strong communication and people skills. Able to engage people at all levels of the organization to get things done.
  • PowerPoint, Word, Excel, SharePoint, Teams, syndicated data (IRI, Nielsen), Content management, Digital asset management, trade management.
  • Sales/marketing experience, especially with tradeshow organization and experience preferred
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or similar preferred
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
