A U.S. ship repair organization is hiring a Senior QA–NDT Inspector to lead advanced inspections and mentor inspectors across shipyard and marine vessel projects. This role combines hands-on NDT execution with technical leadership and audit support.
🔍 Responsibilities
- Perform VT, MT, PT, UT, and advanced NDT (UTT, Shear Wave)
- Lead and document inspections per NAVSEA and contract requirements
- Mentor junior QA/NDT Inspectors and provide technical guidance
- Take lead roles during audits, surveillance, and inspections
- Review drawings, specifications, and inspection plans
- Generate condition reports and corrective action documentation
- Ensure strong safety and quality compliance in shipyard environments
✅ Requirements
- 5+ years NDT / QA experience
- Minimum 4 certifications from: VT, MT, PT, UT, UTT, Shear Wave, CPI/NACE Level II
- Strong knowledge of NAVSEA Standard Items and specifications
- Proven leadership and mentoring capability
- Ability to access government facilities
- Reliable attendance

- Familiarity with ISO and NAVSEA standards
