Job Title: Night Shift QA Lab Technician 11pm -

Job Description

As a QA Lab Technician, you will be responsible for evaluating incoming ingredients to ensure they meet product specifications. You will perform inspection activities and testing to maintain continuous control over production specifications throughout the production cycle. Your role will involve inspecting blending and bottling operations for conformance to processes and packaging requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate incoming ingredients for conformance with product specifications.
  • Perform inspection activities and testing to ensure continuous control over production specifications.
  • Inspect blending and bottling operations for conformance to processes and packaging requirements.
  • Determine Brix-Acid Ratio (BAR) and oil levels in product blends.
  • Maintain and verify calibration activities for laboratory and operation equipment.
  • Perform microbiological plating functions.
  • Maintain QA record keeping, filing, verifying, and reviewing documents for accuracy.
  • Comply with SO water testing activities.
  • Conduct environmental testing activities, including swabs and air samples.
  • Hold process activities following SOPs on product quality.
  • Monitor compliance with GMPs, HACCP, SOPs, regulatory compliance, and company policies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

  • Experience in laboratory testing and quality assurance.
  • Proficiency in wet chemistry and titration.
  • Knowledge of analytical chemistry.
  • Experience with batch records and FDA regulations.
  • Understanding of chemistry, biology, and food science principles.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Maintain the raw material sampling program and test materials associated with this program.
  • Maintain a micro corrective action log.
  • Maintain the calibration program for all lab equipment used in microbiological testing.

Work Environment

This role operates within a lab and manufacturing environment, where you will engage with both laboratory and operational equipment. Attention to detail and adherence to safety standards are paramount in this setting.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Haines City, FL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
