Material Handler – Night Shift
Location: Houston, TX 77073
Pay Range: $17 – $18 per hour
Shift: Night Shift
Overview
We are seeking a dependable Material Handler to support night shift operations by safely loading, unloading, and moving materials throughout the plant. This role is essential to maintaining production flow, ensuring materials are handled efficiently, and supporting overall warehouse and manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Read work orders or follow instructions to determine materials to be moved
- Load and unload materials from pallets, racks, trays, and shelves
- Transport materials to designated areas within the facility
- Prepare materials for shipment, including strapping, bracing, and padding
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, or hoists (as needed)
- Count, weigh, and record materials on production sheets
- Label and tag materials for identification and tracking
- Stack, bundle, and organize materials for storage or transport
- Assist with conveyor setup and material flow processes
- Collect and deliver material samples for lab analysis
- Perform general labor tasks including lifting, cleaning, and assisting operators
- Make minor equipment adjustments (e.g., belts, rollers) as needed
- Assemble crates and containers for shipping products
- Maintain accurate records, labor cards, and job tickets
- Follow all safety procedures, GMP standards, and PPE requirements
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
Education:
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
Experience:
- 1–3 months of related experience or training preferred
- Forklift, pallet jack, or industrial truck experience preferred
- Basic knowledge of warehouse or manufacturing operations
- Familiarity with standard safety practices and procedures
