We're looking for an experienced NICU Travel RN to join our team on the beautiful island of Kauai.
Contract Details 13-week contract 36 hours/week | Rotating schedule Kauai, Hawaii
Compensation (Weekly Pay) Estimated gross: $3,404/week Taxable hourly rate: $30hr
Duties & Responsibilities
- Monitor and assess critically ill and premature newborns using continuous cardiorespiratory monitoring
- Administer medications, IV fluids, and total parenteral nutrition (TPN) per physician orders
- Manage mechanical ventilation, CPAP, and high-flow oxygen therapy for neonates
- Perform and assist with procedures including umbilical line care, intubation support, and lumbar punctures
- Provide developmental care and thermoregulation support for premature and low-birth-weight infants
- Educate and support families on infant care, feeding, and discharge planning
- Collaborate with neonatologists, respiratory therapists, and the interdisciplinary NICU team
- Recognize and respond to neonatal emergencies including respiratory distress and sepsis
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record
- Support breastfeeding and lactation efforts in partnership with lactation consultants
Requirements
Minimum 2 years of NICU experience
Active RN license in Hawaii
BLS, NRP, ACLS & PALS certifications required
