Responsibilities
The RCP III- Neonatal Respiratory Care Practitioner performs acute clinical care to the neonate / newborn including a variety of technical procedures that require independent judgment, common sense and initiative to apply prescribed procedures, treatments and testing to the newborn and pediatric patient in a safe and professional manner. The Neonatal RCP assumes responsibility for delivering all respiratory care in the Perinatal area (NICU, Nursery, Labor and Delivery and ER) as required.
Qualifications
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING
Current State Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license required.Currently Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC).Neonatal/Pediatric Specialty (NPS) credential from the NRBC.Basic Life Support (BLS) certified from the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) upon hire and maintain current.Adult Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) from the AHA or ARC certification upon hire and maintain current.Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) from the AHA certification upon hire and maintain current.Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certificate from the AHA certification upon hire and maintain current.Associate Degree or Bachelor of Science degree preferred.Two (2) years of neonatal clinical experience preferred, proving neonatal respiratory care in an autonomous/expanded role in a level II or level III NICUEmployment Status

Benefits may vary based on collective bargaining agreement requirements and/or the employment status, i.e. full-time or part-time. The current compensation range for this role is $37.15 to $48.47. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
