Our Client, The Door Store and Windows, is seeking a driven Outside Sales Representative to join their growing team. This role centers on selling premium windows and doors for new construction projects and upscale remodels throughout the Louisville area and nearby markets (within roughly 50 miles). If you thrive on building strong relationships and have experience in the building products industry, this is an excellent opportunity to develop a rewarding sales career.
Ideal backgrounds may include building product sales, construction sales, territory sales, remodeling sales, or account management with a focus on home improvement.
Schedule
- Monday–Friday, 9am–5pm
- One Saturday per month, 9am–2pm
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain relationships with builders, remodelers, architects, and homeowners in the region
- Prospect and generate new business opportunities
- Respond to and manage inbound sales leads
- Guide customers through design options and recommend customized window and door solutions
- Track client activity, opportunities, and follow-ups in the CRM system
- Partner with the installation and support teams to ensure project success
- Participate in occasional industry training or events outside of Louisville (a few trips per year)
Compensation
- Starting base salary: $45,000-$65,000 depending on experience (plus commission, see below)
- Commission eligibility begins immediately (averaging 9–11% of sales based on gross profit margins).
- Typical year two earnings range from $90,000–$130,000+ total compensation.
- High performers regularly exceed $200,000 annually, with no cap on commissions.

Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of sales experience; formal sales training is a plus
- At least 3 years of outside sales experience in building products, construction, or home improvement preferred
- Previous success selling windows and doors is highly desirable (Marvin product knowledge a strong advantage)
- Strong math and analytical skills with the ability to create detailed proposals
- Comfortable with prospecting, networking, and closing sales
- Self-starter with strong motivation and the ability to work both independently and in a team
- Must pass a background check and drug screening
