Placement Counsel is seeking a 1st to 6th+ year associate litigation/transactional attorney for a mid-sized law firm with offices in Nevada (Las Vegas), California, Arizona, North Carolina, Texas, and New York. Job Summary:
The associate attorney will join the firm's Las Vegas, Nevada, office The ideal candidate will have 1-6+ years’ experience handling business transactions and litigation, possess excellent organizational skills, the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines, and regularly exercise independent judgment.
Duties
- Communicate effectively and appropriately with team members and outside parties.
- Draft, review, and file legal pleadings, motions, discovery, etc.
- Review case files and pleadings to determine appropriate action.
- Work as part of a team with all levels of experience.
- Routinely communicate with clients.
- Cultivate relationships with the firm’s existing and future clients.
- Comply with all the firm’s standard operating procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skill/Abilities:
- Working knowledge of transactional and litigation procedures
- Excellent legal drafting, writing, and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and critical thinking skills
- Ability to be detail-oriented, diligent, and flexible.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Commitment to continuous learning.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Ability to think and act independently, and with minimal supervision.

Education and Experience:
- Graduate of an accredited institution by the American Bar Association with a Juris Doctor degree.
- Licensed to practice law in the State of Nevada and in good standing with the Nevada State Bar.
- Must have 1-6+ years’ experience.
