Position Overview


This role is a blend of clinic, surgical first assist, and inpatient rounding.


You will be a key driver of the clinical side of the practice while assisting in the operating room every other week.


The ideal candidate is sharp, adaptable, confident, and thrives in a busy environment.


What You Will Do


  • Provide outpatient clinical care including evaluations, follow ups, and independent patient consultations
  • Assist in surgery as a first assist every other week
  • Round on postoperative and inpatient neurosurgical patients
  • Manage patient care plans in collaboration with the physician
  • Handle occasional inpatient consults as needed
  • Support continuity of care across clinic and hospital settings


Schedule and Structure


  • Alternating weekly schedule
  • One week focused on surgery with longer days
  • One week focused on clinic with occasional inpatient consults
  • Weekend rounding required only when patients are in the hospital
  • No traditional call requirement


Patient Population


  • Primarily cranial neurosurgery with some spine cases

Experience


  • Neurosurgery or spine experience preferred but not required
  • Open to training the right candidate with a strong foundation and mindset
