Pediatric Neuropsychologist

Provides comprehensive neuropsychological assessment and consultation services for pediatric patients with complex neurological conditions, with a primary focus on epilepsy surgical evaluation and follow‑up. Works collaboratively within a multidisciplinary pediatric neurosciences team to support surgical decision‑making, treatment planning, and longitudinal cognitive care.

The Neuropsychologist will devote at least 50% of their time to epilepsy surgical work‑up, including presurgical evaluations, post‑surgical follow‑up, functional MRI (fMRI) testing, and cortical mapping for localization of eloquent brain regions. The remaining clinical time will support patients with epilepsy, neuromuscular disorders, neuroimmunology conditions, developmental delay, headache, and other general neurology presentations involving cognitive dysfunction or decline.

This role supports a rapidly growing pediatric epilepsy surgery program within an ambitious neurosciences initiative in Florida. The program includes four epileptologists, a functional neurosurgeon, advanced practice providers, experienced EEG technologists, and nursing staff, a six‑bed Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU), ROSA robotic surgical technology, and an expected volume of approximately 50 Phase I epilepsy evaluations annually.


Requirements:

  • Doctor of Psychology (Psy.D.)
  • Completion of a 1–2 year Neuropsychology Fellowship
  • ABPP and EPPP certification with specialized expertise in epilepsy surgical evaluation
  • Experience with functional neuroimaging and cortical mapping preferred
  • Eligible for or able to obtain psychology licensure in the state of Florida
  • Ability to collaborate within both inpatient and outpatient academic clinical environments
