Responsible for performing EEG/EKG according to physician orders at a level which does not require direct supervision. Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care for assigned patients. May require specialized skills and serve specific age categories, which may include adult, geriatric and pediatric patients from the neonate through the adolescent ages. The delivery of care at HCA HealthONE Mountain Ridge is based upon criteria that are appropriate for the age of the patient served, and includes aspects of care related to the psychosocial, cultural, safety and learning needs of the individual patient. Performs only those duties and care for only age-specific populations, for which competency has been demonstrated. To assume responsibility for designated areas or procedures as required to provide the professional maturity and leadership needed for success of the EEG department.

Position Requirements:

• Registered, R-EEGT (ABRET) or equivalent experience. Minimum: Training related to EEG field or OJT.
•  AHA or ARC BCLS required.
• Training in EEG and EKG. Training should include EEG theory, Neuroanatomy, neurophysiology, basic electronics and practical lab experience. Should also have attended Evoked Potential training by a qualified instructor.
• Minimum: 2 years experience with above diagnostic testing required.
