Job Summary

Responsible for validating product quality by analyzing and testing the quality of the codebase. Makes decisions affecting architecture of the test codebase including which software to use for writing test code. Focuses on writing code that will be executed in an automated and repeatable fashion which will reduce manual testing efforts and increase code quality and consistency. Develops and maintains code that validates front-end, middleware and database systems, using the latest tools and common programming languages. Provides input into various software development lifecycle stages. Partners with software engineers to write efficient automation code using coding standards and best practices. Executes automated code and creates comprehensive execution reports for team. Repairs complex broken automation scripts and performs peer reviews of automation codebase. Has in-depth experience, knowledge and skills in own discipline. Usually determines own work priorities. Acts as resource and mentor for colleagues with less experience.

• Experience in a test and integration environment

• Experience and knowledge working with theNokia IMS,Ribbon C20and Nokia Telco Cloud platformarchitectureandinterworking principlesin order tosupport associated services

• You should havegood communicationskills to work with other areas of the business

• Knowledgeablein voice switchtranslation and UK& ROIdial plans

• Knowledgeable in voice protocols, including SIP, H248andDiameter

• Experienceofserveroperating systems,IPandinthe use of Wireshark.

• Excellent ability to work in apressuredreal-time environment.

• Analytical mind-set and approach to problem solving, network changes
  

  Essential.

  Knowledge of Class 5 TDM switch architecture; with experience onRibbonand Huawei switches desirable

  Knowledge of VoIP and Softswitch architectures preferable.

  Candidates should have a detailed knowledge of some of the following protocols and signalling systems as well as other standards associated with telephony switching in the UK such as SIP, C7, MGCP, H.248and Diameter

  Knowledge of UK numbering plansand UKswitched telephone network in general

  Capability to document information in a clear and precise manner for Implementation,testingand Operational teams

  Understand all elements of theIMSand C20

  Be able todatafillall elements of theIMSand C20

  Understand key pieces of test equipment such asWireshark

  Be able todatafillinterconnects on theIMSandC20

  Experience in scripting and databases
