Role: Network Security DevOps Engineer

• Location: Spring, TX (100% Onsite – Monday through Friday)
• Employment Type: Long-Term Contract
• Hourly Rate: $80
• On-Call Rotation: Approximately once every 9–10 weeks as part of a global follow-the-sun support model

About the Opportunity

Join a newly formed Network Security DevOps organization focused on modernizing and automating enterprise firewall and network security services at a global scale. This is a high-impact role where you'll help shape the future of network security engineering, automation, and cloud security operations.

Key Responsibilities

Design, deploy, and support Fortinet firewall solutions across global environments

Migrate and modernize legacy firewall platforms including:

• Cisco ASA

• Cisco FTD

• Juniper SRX

Develop automation and Infrastructure-as-Code solutions using:

• Ansible

• Terraform

• Python

• GitHub

• Jenkins

• REST APIs

• Jinja2

• YAML

Manage and secure cloud environments across AWS and Azure

Build automation-first processes to improve reliability, scalability, and operational efficiency

Perform troubleshooting, incident response, upgrades, patching, and vulnerability assessments

Collaborate with cybersecurity, cloud, networking, and application teams to deliver secure enterprise solutions

Required Qualifications

5+ years of Network Security Engineering and Operations experience

Strong hands-on experience with:

• Fortinet FortiGate (FortiManager & FortiAnalyzer preferred)

• Cisco ASA / FTD

• Juniper SRX

Strong networking fundamentals:

• TCP/IP

• Routing & Switching

• ACLs

• VPNs

• IDS/IPS

• NAT

• DNS

Experience with automation and scripting tools:

• Ansible

• Terraform

• Python

Cloud security experience with AWS and Azure

Preferred Certifications

• Fortinet FCA / FCSS / NSE

• Cisco CCNA or CCNP Security

• CISSP

• GIAC
