Network Engineer II (VoIP / Telecom Migration)

Location: Irving TX (Hybrid)

Contract: 12 months + possible extension

No C2C candidates, only W2

Must be able to obtain a USPS Government Security Clearance

We are actively hiring Network Engineers to support a large-scale USPS migration project within a major telecom environment. This is a high-impact role focused on VoIP services, number porting, and telecom migration activities.

Overview

You will support activation, migration, and troubleshooting of VoIP services, working closely with internal teams, vendors, and customers. This role is execution-focused with high volume and fast turnaround expectations.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform telephone number porting (LNP) and verify completion
• Execute VoIP service activations and migrations
• Manage routing updates in Broadsoft / Sonus environments
• Perform call testing, call tracing, and troubleshooting
• Lead customer/vendor bridge calls during activations
• Validate orders, perform pre-install testing, and resolve issues
• Document all activities in workflow systems and meet SLA timelines

Required Qualifications

• Strong experience in VoIP / telecom (LNP, routing, call flows)
• Hands-on with: Broadsoft / Broadworks and Sonus (Ribbon) platforms
• Ability to perform call tracing and troubleshooting
• Strong Excel skills (data validation, comparison, macros)
• Excellent communication, ownership, and organizational skills

Preferred Certifications / Background

Knowledge of:

• Routers, switches, SBCs
• Cisco, Audiocodes, Polycom devices

Certifications like CCNA / CCNP

• Experience with large-scale telecom migrations
