Role Description:
Netizen is seeking a highly skilled Network Engineer to support the design, implementation, optimization, and maintenance of enterprise network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience with Aruba networking technologies, Palo Alto firewalls, and the optimization of network tools and services across complex environments.
Responsibilities:
Design, implement, maintain, and support enterprise network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, WLAN, VPN, and related services.
• Configure and manage Aruba switches, wireless access points, controllers, and associated management platforms.
• Administer, monitor, and troubleshoot Palo Alto firewalls, including security policies, NAT, VPNs, threat prevention, and logging.
• Analyze network performance and optimize network tools, systems, and configurations to improve availability, reliability, and efficiency.
• Troubleshoot complex connectivity, routing, switching, wireless, and firewall issues across multiple environments.
• Perform network upgrades, migrations, patching, and technology refresh activities.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity, cloud, systems, and operations teams to ensure secure and resilient network architecture.
• Develop and maintain network documentation, diagrams, standard operating procedures, and configuration baselines.
• Provide Tier III support and technical guidance to junior engineers and administrators.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related
field; equivalent experience may be substituted.
• 3 to 5 years of experience supporting enterprise network infrastructure.
• Hands-on experience with Aruba networking solutions.
• Hands-on experience with Palo Alto firewalls.
• Strong knowledge of routing, switching, VLANs, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, and wireless networking.
• Experience with network monitoring, analysis, and performance optimization tools.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.
• Relevant certifications such as CCNP, PCNSE, Aruba Certified Mobility Professional, or Aruba Certified Switching Professional. • Experience with SD-WAN, NAC, cloud networking, and network automation. • Experience supporting federal, DoD, or other regulated environments.
