The Department of Pediatrics at the University of South Florida, Morsani College of Medicine, is seeking an Open Rank to serve the clinical and educational missions of the Division of Neonatology. The division is based at Tampa General Hospital (TGH) in Tampa, FL. TGH is a 1,018-bed teaching hospital affiliated with the USF Health Morsani College of Medicine. It is a private not-for-profit hospital and one of the most comprehensive medical facilities in west central Florida, serving a dozen counties with a population of over 4 million. In addition to being a Level 1 trauma center, it also has a Level 3 NICU. The 82-bed Jennifer Leigh Muma NICU is a designated Regional Perinatal Intensive Care Center designated by the State of Florida to deliver the highest level of medical care to premature and sick infants, and to women with high-risk pregnancies. USF/TGH Neonatology also participates in the Florida Perinatal Quality Collaborative, a statewide initiative to improve maternal and infant health outcomes in Florida. We are seeking a dedicated physician, preferably with expertise in neonatal neurocritical care, to join our team. This position may include serving as Medical Director for Neonatal Neurocritical Care, with opportunities to lead program development, quality initiatives, and strategic growth.
CLINICAL - The position includes the management of patients in the Jennifer Leigh Muma Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Tampa General Hospital.
RESEARCH - The faculty member will be encouraged to participate in ongoing research in the Division of Neonatology, and contribute to divisional efforts to seek funding for extramural research.
Responsible for academic advising and related activities. May represent the university, college/school, or department.
