The City of Bloomington is seeking an individual to work with Naturalist Coordinator in providing high-quality weekly Naturalist Program experiences in Bloomington.

*Work with Naturalist Coordinator in designing and carrying out Naturalist Programs for all ages.

*Conduct Naturalist Programs with a team, and occasionally as sole programmer.

*Regularly promote Naturalist Programs, including development of relevant hands on activities, at the Bloomington Farmers Market.

*Assist with Bloomington Farmers Market setup and takedown as needed.

*Maintain positive and fun attitude in welcoming visitors to programs and delivering program information.

*Assist with other Special Events as needed.

*Represent the City of Bloomington in a positive and professional manner at all times.Minimum Qualifications:

*Experience with, or heavy interest in Naturalist programming

*Ability to work independently, and with a team as needed.

*Valid MN Driver's License and the ability to transport equipment as needed, to and from locations

*Ability to work a varied schedule, including weekends.

*Attention to detail, punctual, and dependable.

Desired Qualifications:

*One or more years of Naturalist work experience, or relevant academic training or experience.

*Interest in teaching or have teaching background





*High quality communication skills and ability to interact with the public as needed.Position to begin in May, but there is some flexibility in starting date. Position will run through the end of October, with possibility for additional work beyond. 15-20 hours per week on average, with occasionally more. Job duties to take place at Bloomington Civic Plaza, and other locations throughout the City.

INCENTIVES IN 2026
Commitment Bonus- A seasonal employee who works until at least August 9th will receive$100 bonus on their final paycheck.

Referral Bonus– A seasonal employee who refers a new seasonal employee will receive $100 bonus on their final paycheck. Referral paperwork required within one week of employees start date and both employees must be employed for the entirety of the scheduled season to be eligible.
