National Account Manager - Exterior Paint and Primers

The National Account Manager will be responsible for growing top line sales, profit and market share for the Consumer Brands Group’s Lowe’s Business Unit. This position will also be responsible for the long-term strategic planning, development, and implementation of business plans for the Primers and Exterior Paint segment for our retail customer Lowe’s. This role will entail expanding and developing new business opportunities for Consumer Brands and Lowe’s.

Travel required for this role is up to 20%.

 

Job duties involve contact with customers, which may include minors; and access to cash and other payment methods, electronic equipment, personal information, store merchandise and other items of value, and such access may be supervised or unsupervised. Responsibilities:

  • Maintains ownership of the primers categories for Lowe’s and maintains and builds a positive relationship with the buyer and customer leadership for the applicator category.  
  • Develops & capitalizes on relationships with Lowe’s Merchant teams and leads key strategic negotiations.
  • Responsible for the development and implementation of pricing/promotional programs to help drive sales for Consumer Brands and Lowe’s.
  • Develops and implements strategies to grow and convert sales through competitive displacement.  
  • Analyzes market research to develop product insights/programs; innovates new business opportunities.  
  • Collaborates and builds impactful relationships with internal cross functional and divisional teams (Marketing, Operations, R&D, Quality, Sales Excellence, etc.) to identify, develop, and implement business strategies.
  • Responsible for completing proforma analysis, P&L analysis, budget management, operating plan support, presenting product line review presentations and customer relationship management, CRM, utilization.
  • Displays strategic decision-making by recommending, implementing, and executing promotional programs, and product lines while optimizing merchandising materials.
  • In partnership with the training team, assists with the development of training content for specified segment
  • Actively engaged with the Lowe’s Field team to ensure they are in informed on all key projects and trends
  • Responsible for the overall financial responsibility for brands and categories assigned to direct report(s) and ensuring the strategy set by the business unit’s Sales Director and Vice President of Sales is fulfilled.
  • Respond to, or involves the appropriate parties, to resolve any customer and/or employee complaints
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures including safety and loss prevention.
