Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a PRN Multispecialty Ultrasound Technologist to join our Imaging Department at Baylor Scott & White Pflugerville Medical Center. This PRN opportunity is ideal for an experienced sonographer who is flexible and available to provide coverage across various shifts, supporting both scheduled and as-needed imaging needs.

As a Multispecialty Sonographer, you will perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations across multiple specialties while delivering compassionate, high-quality patient care in a collaborative hospital environment.

What You’ll Do
  • Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations in two or more specialties according to established protocols.

  • Produce high-quality sonographic images and obtain accurate measurements for physician interpretation.

  • Identify, evaluate, and document abnormalities; expand exam scope when clinically appropriate.

  • Prepare and position patients; clearly explain procedures to ensure comfort and cooperation.

  • Assist providers with ultrasound-guided procedures when required.

  • Maintain ultrasound equipment, perform quality control, and troubleshoot issues as needed.

  • Follow all infection control, safety, and patient-care standards.

  • Collaborate with Radiologists, nurses, and imaging staff to support efficient workflow and patient satisfaction.

  • Accurately document procedures and maintain imaging records within PACS and EMR systems.

  • Participate in call rotation as required.

Requirements
  • Education: Graduate of an Accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program

  • Experience: Less than 1 year

  • Certification / Licensure:

    • Certified by ARDMS in at least two specialties, such as:

      • RDMS: AB, OB/GYN, BR, PS

      • RDCS: AE, FE, PE

      • RVT or RMSKS

    • BLS Certification (within 30 days of hire)

  • Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and sonographic principles

  • Excellent communication, patient-care, and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to adapt to a flexible PRN schedule
