Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a PRN Multimodality Technologist (CT & X-Ray) to support overnight imaging coverage at Baylor Scott & White Austin Oak Hill Medical Center. This role is ideal for an experienced technologist who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is comfortable working independently during night shifts.

As a CT & X-Ray Multimodality Technologist, you will provide high-quality diagnostic imaging for emergency and inpatient needs while ensuring patient safety, accuracy, and exceptional care.

What You’ll Do
  • Perform CT and X-Ray imaging procedures in accordance with physician orders and established protocols.

  • Produce diagnostic-quality images with accurate positioning and exposure settings.

  • Demonstrate knowledge of radiation dose reference levels, dose monitoring, and appropriate follow-up actions.

  • Utilize iSTAT point-of-care testing to obtain creatinine levels when required for contrast studies.

  • Communicate effectively with patients using AIDET principles, ensuring comfort and understanding.

  • Prepare and position patients safely; utilize immobilization devices as appropriate.

  • Adhere to all radiation safety, infection control, and sterile technique standards.

  • Maintain CT and X-Ray equipment functionality; troubleshoot issues and report concerns promptly.

  • Verify and document requisitions, patient history, pregnancy screening, and safety checklists.

  • Upload and maintain imaging studies within PACS and EMR systems according to departmental workflow.

  • Support efficient overnight workflow while maintaining high patient satisfaction.

  • Solid understanding of anatomy, radiation physics, contrast protocols, and multimodality workflow.

  • Ability to work autonomously while collaborating effectively with overnight care teams.

  • Flexibility to support PRN scheduling needs and overnight coverage.

Qualifications
  • Education: Graduate of an Accredited Radiologic Technology Program

  • Experience: CT and X-Ray experience required (hospital or emergency imaging preferred)

  • Certification / Licensure:

    • ARRT (R) and ARRT (CT) required

    • Licensed by the Texas Medical Board (TMB) as a Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT)

    • BLS Certification (within 30 days of hire)
