Job Title: Multi Craft Maintenance Technician
Job Description

The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing all production machinery, including paint process machines, paint robotics, hydraulic presses, conveyor systems, welders, rack systems, and general facilities maintenance duties.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and repair breakdowns in paint department equipment.
  • Maintain and repair paint application and support equipment such as robots, chillers, conveyors, and burners.
  • Perform preventive maintenance checks and ensure equipment cleanliness.
  • Apply 5S standards to paint line equipment.
  • Assist Automation Tech with necessary repairs.
  • Install and maintain mechanical, electrical, and electronic testing and control equipment.
  • Design and install supports, conduit, wiring, and piping as needed.
  • Weld and fabricate modifications.
  • Operate power tools including grinders, drill presses, and saws.
  • Ensure equipment is properly lubricated and maintained.
  • Rig and move machinery for accurate installation.
  • Attend required classes and training.
  • Keep up with applicable codes and guidelines by NFPA, NEC, OSHA.

Work Environment

The position is in a climate-controlled manufacturing paint environment. The role offers a rotating shift schedule with one open 2nd shift (2pm-10:30pm) Monday to Friday, and one open night shift with 12 hours from 5:30pm-6am, rotating 36/48 hours. Training will take place on a rotating 12-hour schedule, including weekends, for approximately 6 months, depending on learning pace.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chattanooga, TN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.11 - $40.11/hr.
