We are seeking MRI Technologists interested in flexible evening coverage for our 6:00pm-10:00pm shift. We are open to candidates being available one day per week, 2 days per week, or additional coverage based on availability. The MRI Department supports this mission by providing diagnostic imaging services in an outpatient setting utilizing a Sieman's Aera 1.5T

Position: MRI Technologist

Location: Norwood Office

Schedule:

  • Evening shift: Monday through Friday, 6:00pm - 10:00pm
  • Schedule is based on operational need and patient volume
  • Opportunities may be available on a regular or as-needed basis

Pay:

  • $50.00/hour Premium Pay for the designated 6:00pm - 10:00pm evening shift
  • Premium pay applies only when the full shift is scheduled and worked, and when services are operationally needed
  • Training or other hours outside the designated shift will be paid at the employee's regular rate of pay.

Responsibilities:

As an MRI Technologist at Riverhills Neuroscience, you will play a crucial role in patient care, contributing to both clinical and administrative functions. Your responsibilities include:

  • Perform MRI examinations of all types, as directed by physicians.
  • Obtain complete patient/implant history to ensure all safety requirements are met.
  • Obtain lab work information to ensure appropriate creatinine levels for contrast studies and administers contrast agents with documentation in the EMR with anticipation of the potential for adverse reactions.
  • Apply independent judgment to produce studies of excellent quality, confirming quality with radiologist, and reporting any routine protocol changes to administrator and co-workers.
  • Assist with the scheduling of patients to ensure timeliness of exam and compliance with contrast policies.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Background and Experience:

  • Associates Degree of Science in Radiological Technology required.
  • ARRT or ARMRIT Certification Required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) & AED training required.
  • Experience with an Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and Practice management system is required.
  • Ability to calmly handle multiple tasks at once.
  • Great interpersonal skills with sound judgment, maturity, and an ability to establish good rapport with patients, physicians, vendors, and staff.
  • Ability to deal with patients, physicians and staff with tact and diplomacy.
