Job Title: MRI Technician
Job Description

We are seeking a skilled MRI Technician to perform advanced research techniques and procedures in a Core-specific science. The role involves providing day-to-day supervision of specialized Core facilities, maintaining financial records and databases for invoicing and customer usage, and offering timely technical support to user groups. Additionally, the technician will maintain and service instrumentation, support the implementation of new techniques and technological improvements, and assist the Center Director and staff in establishing, updating, and implementing safety and operating protocols.

Responsibilities

  • Perform advanced research techniques and procedures in a Core-specific science.
  • Supervise day-to-day operations of specialized Core facilities.
  • Maintain Core financial records and track invoicing and customer usage.
  • Provide timely technical support to user groups.
  • Maintain and service instrumentation.
  • Support the implementation of new techniques and improvements in technology.
  • Assist in establishing, updating, and implementing safety and operating protocols.
Essential Skills
  • Experience in laboratory work and troubleshooting.
  • Proficiency in magnetic resonance technology.
  • Certification such as CRT, ARRT, or ARMRIT.
  • Experience in medical and medical laboratory settings.
  • Involvement in research projects.
  • 9+ months of relevant experience.
  • Knowledge and understanding of general anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
  • High-level knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy.
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience working with pediatric patients aged 3-5 years old.
Work Environment

This is a Per Diem role with open availability for scheduling, requiring a minimum commitment of 2 days a week and a maximum of 4 days, including the possibility of weekend shifts. The lab operates from 8 am to 8 pm. The position fills in for the main per diem person on leave until the end of October, with the potential for extension based on workload. This role involves working in a dynamic lab environment with opportunities for growth and expansion.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $150000.00/yr.
