Position Overview: The Georgia Office of EMS and Trauma seek a motivated and detail-oriented Master of Public Health (MPH) intern from the University of Georgia to support our ongoing projects and initiatives. The intern will gain hands-on experience in public health, EMS systems, EMS Initial and Continuing Education, and Specialty systems of Care (Cardiac, Trauma, Stroke, and Pediatrics) and contribute to meaningful work that impacts the health and safety of Georgia residents. This internship will be completed in one semester

The DPH Commissioner and agency leaders encourage all employees to engage in regular wellness activities and to make lifestyle choices that promote health and well-being.
The use of physical activity breaks during the workday is authorized to support this philosophy and help employees meet their wellness goals. A maximum of 30 minutes of physical activity may be allocated per workday, typically in the form of two 15-minute breaks or one 30-minute break.
