Motors, Controls, and Instrumentation (MC&I) Product Engineer to join their team. This role can be based in
Cedarburg, WI or
Rosemont, IL with the ability to travel to Cedarburg a couple of times a month.

Requirements- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related discipline
- Proven experience motor/electromechanical product engineering, including motor controls and VFDs
- PLC programming and troubleshooting is highly preferred
Duties and Responsibilities:- Motor & VFD engineering: Define requirements and evaluate motors and VFDs for new and existing products.
- Cross-functional collaboration: Translate business needs into motor, controls, and instrumentation requirements with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and product teams.
- Supplier technical interface: Lead supplier design reviews, validation plans, and issue resolution through launch.
- Industrial communications: Configure and troubleshoot Modbus, EtherNet/IP, PROFINET, CAN/CANopen, and related interfaces.
- Instrumentation engineering: Specify sensors, transmitters, and control valves; interpret P&IDs and I/O lists.
- Telemetry/Wireless: Support remote monitoring connectivity (Wi-Fi, cellular, LoRa/LPWAN) and basic network and security needs.
- Controls systems integration: Support inverter/motor matching, control loop tuning, and PLC/HMI/SCADA integration.
- Test engineering: Identify and define test lab capabilities and equipment required related to motor evaluation and testing.
- Validation & reliability: Plan and support performance and durability tests, document results, and support failure analysis and FMEA/DFMEA.
- Manufacturing and launch support: Support manufacturability, pilot builds, testing, and product release.
- Field and customer support: Troubleshoot motor, VFD, controls, and connectivity issues for internal teams and customers.
- Compliance and certifications: Support UL/CSA/CE compliance activities and coordination with test agencies.
