Mortgage Loan Closer

Position Summary:

Responsible for preparing, reviewing, and coordinating all final loan documents required to complete residential mortgage transactions. This role ensures loan packages are accurate, compliant with federal and state regulations, and ready for funding and closing. The Mortgage Closer works closely with loan officers, underwriters, title companies, attorneys, and borrowers to facilitate timely and successful closings.

Key Responsibilities

• Review approved loan files for completeness and accuracy prior to closing
• Prepare and verify closing disclosures and final loan documents
• Coordinate closing schedules with borrowers, lenders, title companies, and attorneys
• Ensure compliance with investor guidelines and federal/state regulations
• Confirm all underwriting conditions have been satisfied before closing
• Balance and reconcile fees, taxes, insurance, and escrow amounts
• Communicate funding requirements and closing instructions to all parties
• Resolve documentation discrepancies and closing issues promptly
• Maintain accurate records and update loan status in mortgage software systems
• Meet closing deadlines while maintaining high levels of accuracy and customer service
