Overview

We’re hiring aNote Team Specialistto support the Investor Fulfillment and Note Operations team at a national mortgage company. This is an entry‑level opportunity for someone withat least 1 year of mortgage‑related experiencewho enjoys detail‑oriented, process‑driven work. You’ll play a critical role in handling original mortgage notes, preparing warehouse bank packages, and ensuring compliance with internal and external guidelines.

This role offers stronglong‑term growth potentialand the opportunity to convert to full‑time based on performance.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Receive, open, and process incoming mortgage notes viaUSPS, UPS, and FedEx
  • Create and labelmanila loan folders(loan numbers, borrower names, warehouse bank codes)
  • Identify and escalate issues withoriginal notesto the Note Team Supervisor
  • Distinguish between1st lien and 2nd lien notes
  • Build and preparewarehouse bank packagesin accordance with specified guidelines
  • Assemble and shipdaily FedEx packagesto warehouse banks
  • Sort, file, and track notes based on warehouse destination
  • Review and auditunfunded notesdaily for accuracy and compliance
  • Support the Note Department Supervisor and Manager with operational and compliance‑related tasks
  • Perform additional administrative duties as needed
Must‑Have Skills
  • 1+ year of mortgage‑related experience(post‑closing, collateral, shipping, funding, or similar)
  • Experience handlingmortgage documents or original notes
  • Strong attention to detail and document accuracy
  • Ability to meet deadlines in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment
  • Solid customer service mindset and professional communication skills
  • Comfortable working withmail processing, filing, and document organization
Nice‑To‑Have Skills
  • Experience inpost‑closing, collateral, or investor fulfillment
  • Familiarity withwarehouse lending or document custody
  • Microsoft Word and basic Excel proficiency
  • Experience working in a regulated or compliance‑driven environment
Experience & Qualifications
  • Mortgage, lending, or financial services experience preferred
  • Strong organizational and time‑management skills
  • Ability to follow detailed procedures and guidelines
  • Comfortable communicating via email, phone, and in person
  • Ability to work independently under regular supervision

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
