As a Mortgage Area Manager, you will manage and direct Producing Sales Managers and loan officers to attain sales, service, and CRA goals in generating residential mortgage loans that are in accordance with established standards, policies/procedures and regulations. You will be responsible for the development of a marketing and business plan for the group and serving as a CMC representative to the realtor community, Citizens customers, homebuyers, homeowners, and not-for-profit agencies. You will manage relationship with the Bank for his/her respective market (in footprint only). Enhance branch referrals by developing relationships through branch visitation and ongoing communication regarding product changes, market conditions and competition.
Primary responsibilities include
- Responsible for sourcing and recruiting new loan officers and Producing Sales Managers to support the established sales goals for the group.
- Loan Officers must meet minimum qualification standards. Quarterly and Annual goals will be established.
- Exercise authority of a manager concerning performance appraisals, promotions, salary recommendations, performance management and termination. Span of Control is 20 -30 PSMs and LOs.
- Including Recruiting, responsible for meeting all Management By Objectives (MBOs) including: Retention, Service Quality, Risk/Compliance, Customer Focused Fulfillment.
- Ensures that the group generates high quality, profitable residential mortgage loans consistent with CMC policies/procedures and standards and federal regulations/guidelines. Provides guidance and training to loan officers and PSMs for the following areas: customer service needs, products, guidelines and pricing.
- Manage relationship with the Bank for their respective market (in footprint only).
- Enhance branch referrals by developing relationships through branch visitation and ongoing communication regarding product changes, market conditions and competition.
- Manage retail branch assignments, geographic territory alignments, commercial loan officer coverage and the communication of these assignments to the loan officers within this territory.
- Enhance community awareness of CMC products and the attainment of CRA goals through conducting sales presentations, homebuyer seminars and community outreach.
Qualifications, Education, Certifications and/or Other Professional Credentials
- Required Qualifications
- 10 plus years Residential Mortgage Sales experience.
- 7 plus years management experience in Mortgage Sales environment.
- Strong communication skills required.
- Individual must be prepared to insure understanding of and support for all corporate and division performance standards and fiscal goals.
- Have the proven ability to recruit top Loan Officer's for assigned region.
- Successful candidate must meet and comply with all requirements set forth in the SAFE Act, including, but not limited to successful completion of the pre-employment screening checks and obtaining a unique identifier from the NMLS.
- Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree, preferred.
Pay Transparency
Commissioned based. Individuals in this role have historically earned between $100,000- $250,000 per year, based on performance and productivity against commission plan parameters. A component of that compensation includes salary ranging between $65,000- $75,000 per year
