Work as a part-time summer Intern to support the Monument Marathon, a major tourism event, for Scotts Bluff County in the panhandle of Nebraska. Work up to 20 hours per week between May 18, 2026, and August 7, 2026 (these dates are flexible).
About the event: A signature tourism event in Scotts Bluff County in the panhandle of Nebraska. In its 15th year, the race has full and half marathons as well as a 5K. The full and half marathon courses are USATF sanctioned, Boston-qualifying races drawing runners from around the country and world. 65-75% of participants are new to the event each year, making marketing vitally important to the ongoing success of the event. Proceeds support students at Western Nebraska Community College, having raised over $717,000 to date.
Location: Scotts Bluff County has 50,000 residents, the largest populated area in the panhandle of Nebraska. 400 miles west of Lincoln, Nebraska, and 200 miles north of Denver, Colorado. 150 miles from Laramie, Wyoming, and Fort Collins, Colorado. The county is home to beautiful landscapes, outdoor activities, and multiple summer events.
Hours: Minimum of 200 internship hours, worked over 10-12 weeks between May 18 and August 7.

Experience: Ad campaign set up, email and social media marketing, website editing, event registration, Microsoft Office suite (including Microsoft Access), must be organized, have good attention to detail, and excellent time management skills.

Keyboarding - Entering text or data into a computer or other machine by means of a traditional keyboard. Traditional Keyboard refers to a panel of keys used as the primary input device on a computer, typographic machine or 10-Key numeric keypad.
