Position Summary
The qualified applicant will demonstrated exceptional leadership skills, technical ability and extensive knowledge of all departmental functions related to the operation of all primary molding operations and all secondary operations associated with the molding process. This position also requires that one have full knowledge of all Level I, II and III Molding Technician requirements and the ability to train new associates at all levels.

$26.83-$39.90- Lead cell activities as directed by the Focus Factory Manager, Supervisor or Manufacturing Engineer. - Complete knowledge of all Injection and Transfer Molding Machines. - Load pre-programed recipes or manually input molding parameters into presses. Verify all machine settings match latest revision of the process data sheet at the beginning of each run. - The ability to aid the manufacturing engineer in start-up / development of new prototypes; including new mold setup, setting and documenting molding parameters, process troubleshooting and any pre and post processing needed to produce a finished part. - Ability to perform mold changes. This function requires the proper use of a hoist and knowledge of proper rigging of molds. The proper use of a mold change cart. The operation of a fork truck may also be required. - Fully trained and signed off as a qualified operator for all molding processes associated with all molding departments (Injection and Transfer). - Able to produce molded parts at the established production rates, not exceed expected scrap rates and inspect / verify that all molded parts meet all quality requirements. - Follow all work instructions as trained; including but not limited to Molding Manuals, Assembly manuals, Work Orders (routers), Supplemental Quality Inspections, General Workmanship Standards, etc. - Ability to operate the two roll mill to blend compounds for molding as needed. - A Lead Technician is expected to train new employees as well as level I, II and III Technicians on any job assignment. - Participate and/or take lead on continuous improvement activities and Kaizens.
