Lead Process Technician

Primary Function

As the Lead Process Technician, you will oversee and optimize all injection molding processes to ensure maximum efficiency and high-quality output. You will lead a team in troubleshooting, continuous improvement, and machine setups while maintaining high safety and production standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Master Setups & Optimization: Define and implement master setups for injection molding machines. Monitor cycle times and use root cause analysis to reduce waste and maintain scrap percentages at or below industry standards.
• New Product Sampling: Lead tool trials and material testing for new products to validate process parameters before full-scale production.
• Leadership & Training: Supervise and train process technicians in machine operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance to enhance overall team performance.
• Daily Auditing: Conduct daily audits to ensure all processes stay consistent with master setups and address any deviations immediately.
• Advanced Tools: Utilize the IQMS ERP system for real-time production tracking, inventory management, and data analysis.
• Collaboration: Coordinate with Maintenance for mold repairs and work with the Quality department to solve product defects.
• Customer Interaction: Engage with customers via phone or email to provide project updates and troubleshoot issues.

Safety & Additional Duties

• Ensure full compliance with Lock Out/Tag Out (LOTO), Spill Prevention, and ISO standards.
• Assist with machine start-up and shutdown procedures.
• Identify and respond to emergency situations and participate in corrective/preventative actions.
