The purpose of this position is to operate a variety of heavy equipment for the purposes of road/bridge construction and maintenance. This position is in DISTRICT 03 of the Department of Transportation and Development and reports directly to a Highway Foreman 1 or Highway Foreman 2. The incumbent must be self-motivated and be able to perform duties with minimal supervision and able to interpret unforeseen conditions as they may arise. The incumbent will participate in appropriate DOTD structured training programs and attend all continuing education classes and conferences deemed necessary to facilitate the performance of required tasks.
