Responsibilities

  • Maintain and repair industrial manufacturing equipment for a shingle mill.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Follow preventative maintenance routines.
  • Weld and fabricate.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Must have at least 3 years of experience in industrial maintenance.

Shift:

  • Schedule is 12 hour night shift 6pm-6am, 3 on/4 off/4 on/3 off. This schedule looks like the following:
    • Monday-Tuesday: On
    • Wednesday-Thursday: Off
    • Friday-Saturday-Sunday: On
    • Monday-Tuesday: Off
    • Wednesday – Thursday: On
    • Friday-Saturday-Sunday: Off
  • With this shift you will work 3 twelve hours shifts one week, and then 4 twelve hour shifts the next. You will work every other Friday/Saturday/Sunday and have every other Friday/Saturday/Sunday off. You work 84 hours in a 2 week period. Overtime is paid out at time and a half after 10 hours worked in a day, and any hours over 40 in a week. This means in a two-week timeframe working this job 28 hours of your 84 hours worked will be paid out as overtime at time and a half.

Environment:

  • Industrial manufacturing, somewhat dirty and dusty due to nature of product they make (shingles).
  • Heavy industrial machinery, can be loud in areas.
  • Steel toed boots and hard hats type of environment.
  • Safety glasses and earplugs required.
