Senior Trusts & Estates Attorney (Estate Planning) – Los Angeles

A well-regarded midsize law firm in Los Angeles is seeking a Senior Trusts & Estates Attorney (8+ years) to join its established Private Client / Estate Planning practice.

This is a planning-focused role with consistent workflow, strong internal support, and a structure designed for long-term sustainability.

Role Overview

• Primary focus on estate planning for individuals and families, including sophisticated and more straightforward planning matters
• Drafting and advising on wills, revocable and irrevocable trusts, and related estate planning documents
• Advising clients on wealth transfer strategies, tax-efficient planning, and fiduciary considerations
• Opportunity to assist with trust and estate administration
• Optional exposure to trust and estate litigation, depending on interest (not required)

Position Structure

• No book of business required
• Established practice with steady demand and workflow -Collaborative group with long-tenured attorneys
• Hybrid work environment

Hours & Compensation

Billable requirement: ~1,600 target

Base salary: $225,000 – $300,000 (depending on experience)

Candidate Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in trusts & estates / private client / estate planning
• Strong experience drafting estate planning documents and advising clients directly
• Solid academic credentials (journal experience is a plus)
• Demonstrated career stability and progression
• Interest in a planning-focused practice (litigation optional)
