Established in 1972, Mount Vernon School serves over 1,250 students in Preschool through Grade 12 on our 40-acre Atlanta campus. The Team
The Middle School Faculty are a collaborative and forward-thinking community of education professionals who are consistently looking for ways to create real-world, project-based learning experiences that help their students connect to content in a relevant and impactful ways. This team models what it means to be inquisitive, nurturing, flexible, and creative. They are involved in areas of the School beyond the classroom walls and support student curiosities and passions. While they customize and personalize the learning for each course, this team is united in using an inquiry-based model and a mastery approach to teaching and learning.
The Role
Mount Vernon School seeks an innovative and collaborative Middle School Mathematics teacher (Grades 6-8) who is comfortable using a project-based/competency approach to mathematics. Versatility, collaboration, and openness to innovative instructional practices are essential. Availability to sponsor athletic, artistic, or academic teams/clubs is preferred.
