Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Mid-Level VMware & Microsoft Engineer to join our dynamic IT team. The ideal candidate will possess a solid foundation in virtualization, system administration, and cloud infrastructure, with a focus on delivering reliable, scalable, and secure solutions. As a key contributor, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining complex IT infrastructure environments that support business operations and growth. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies in a fast-paced, innovative setting.

Responsibilities

  • Design, deploy, and manage virtualization environments utilizing VMware vSphere, vCenter, vSan and NSX platforms to optimize resource utilization and ensure high availability.
  • Maintain and support Microsoft server environments including Windows Server and Microsoft SQL Server, ensuring system stability and security.
  • Develop and implement system architecture solutions aligned with organizational needs, incorporating cloud security best practices for AWS and Azure platforms.
  • Support system hardening efforts by applying Group Policy Objects (GPO), system updates via WDS (Windows Deployment Services), and implementing best practices for system design.

Requirements

  • Proven experience working with VMware virtualization technologies such as vSphere, vCenter, NSX, vSan and vRealize in enterprise environments.
  • Proven experience working in a vSphere high availability network.
  • Proven experience working with disaster recovery products for vSphere environments.
  • Proven experience in Azure, Entra, Intune and Azure Virtual Desktops.
  • Proven experience working with Storage Area Networks.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft operating systems including Windows Server administration and Active Directory management.
  • Hands-on experience with IT infrastructure components including firewalls, VPNs, DNS, DHCP, load balancers, and network protocols such as TCP/IP.
  • Background in systems engineering with expertise in system design, system management, and system administration across Windows and Linux platforms.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Certifications in VMware and Microsoft are pluses.
  • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work late hours and weekends.
