We are seeking new Attorneys with 5-20 years of experience in Insurance Defense to join our team . Your role will be to defend a variety of Connecticut matters in our growing New England Practice. The total compensation range for this role is $110,000 – $180,000; commensurate with experience.

Responsibilities:

As an Attorney at our firm, you will:

• Handle all phases of litigation, from pleadings through discovery and motion practice including drafting legal documents.
• Take and defend depositions.
• Draft motions, briefs, and discovery responses.
• Appear in court and work directly with clients.
• Collaborate with experienced attorneys and strong support staff.
• Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and the court.
• Attend hearings, depositions, and trials as necessary.
• Defend a Variety of Civil Litigation Defense matters
• GL, auto, premises, product liability experience preferred. Employment Law, Construction Defect, and/or Commercial Trucking Law experience is a plus.
• Experience writing motions and trial preparation is preferred.
• The ability to work independently from suit inception to settlement/trial is preferred.
• Strong writing and analytical skills.

We are seeking candidates who can manage cases independently, balance a case load and comply with client reporting guidelines while working as part of a team.

Qualifications:

We are looking for an attorney who possesses:

• A Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree and a valid Connecticut State Bar License.
• A minimum of 5+ years of experience in civil litigation.
• Strong legal research and writing skills.
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
• A commitment to delivering outstanding legal services to our clients.

Required Licensure:

• Active Connecticut State Bar License (Required).
• Active license in other New England states a plus, and/or ability to transfer UBE scores (Preferred).
• Being able to waive into the Massachusetts State Bar and having multiple bars is ideal, however, we are willing to consider candidates with only one bar.
