Mid-Level 3D Generalist


Iconographics LLC is a legal visualization firm looking for exceptional talent as the company grows. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of animation experience, with expertise in forensic and/or medical visualization, legal expert engineering and scientific consulting/testifying, or adjacent fields. We are looking for a self-driven and motivated to help create high-quality legal visualizations used for expert exhibits.  Compensation commensurate with skills and experience will be commission/salary based. Employer-provided health insurance and 401k; sick and vacation time paid.

This is a REMOTE POSITION.


Open to an initial contract period prior to a full-time offer.


Education and Experience:


  • Minimum five year experience in 3D animation and collaborating within a pipeline
  • Knowledge in Adobe Suite (after effects, photoshop and Indesign)
  • Substance painter by Adobe (Required)
  • Organic and hard surface modeling (Required)
  • Maya Artist or Max Artist (Required) 
  • Strong attention to detail, composition, scale, lighting, and realism 
  • Ability to collaborate with creative teams while adapting to feedback and revisions in a fast-paced production environment 
  • Ability to create clean, optimized geometry for production-ready assets 


Desired Skills:


  • Preferably Render engine  knowledge V-Ray
  • Strong experience with 3ds Max and modern 3D production workflows 
  • Openness to learning new tools, programs, and adapting to evolving workflows 
  • Experience with large-scale environmental modeling and texturing 
  • Character animation experience preferred, including keyframe animation and motion refinement 
  • Experience with real-time game engines such as Unreal Engine or Unity 
  • Experience creating and working with procedural textures and materials 
  • Solid understanding of UV mapping 
  • Studio pipeline experience - Has worked with render farms
  • Familiarity with high-resolution sculpting workflows in ZBrush 
  • Experience with Dynamics/FX simulations such as cloth, particles, rigid bodies, smoke, or destruction effects 
  • Familiarity with 3D scanning, drone data, and photogrammetry 
  • Experience modeling from scan data, CAD references, and photogrammetry meshes 
  • Rigging experience preferred, including skeletal setup, skinning, and control rig creation 
  • Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and maintain efficient scene organization
