We are the movers of the world and the makers of the future. We get up every day, roll up our sleeves and build a better world -- together. At Ford, we’re all a part of something bigger than ourselves. What will you make today?
As part of our Manufacturing team, you’ll help build the world-class, state-of-the-art smart vehicles we're known for. In our plants around the world, we’re constantly developing new technologies and processes to further increase our efficiency. You'll get the satisfaction of making great products people use and love.
In This Role You Will:
As the MFE Supervisor, you will lead a multi-functional team—including Packaging, Warehousing, NAVL (NA Vehicle Operation Logistics) and NAML), and Automation— that includes designing and executing comprehensive logistics strategies from architecture development through final plant launch. By utilizing Virtual Manufacturing tools for early validation and guiding the MFE team through prototype and physical build stages, you will ensure the seamless delivery of engineering requirements. Your leadership is critical to meeting program-wide Safety, Quality, Cost, and Delivery (SQCD) objectives.
What you’ll do:
- Lead Engineering Solutions: Orchestrate the development of end-to-end engineering solutions for material flow and investment. Oversee the strategic planning of receiving, storage, and line-side delivery systems to ensure the seamless integration of new model programs into global facilities.
- Drive Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with multi-disciplinary teams—including VOME, BCE Body Con Eng, IE, PD, Business Office, and Assembly Plant operations—to design and execute integrated, lean, and cost-optimized material flow strategies.
- Manage Product Launches: Direct New Model Product Launches at assembly plants, managing the full lifecycle of tooling and equipment installations to ensure operational readiness and launch excellence.
- Champion Innovation: Drive the adoption of advanced manufacturing technologies, discrete event simulation (modeling), and automation initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and modernize logistics processes.
- Deliver Financial Objectives: Ensure all program financial targets are met by meticulously managing budgets and resources related to facilities, tooling, and labor.
- Optimize Performance: Monitor and analyze MP&L Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), leveraging data-driven insights to implement corrective actions and achieve overarching business objectives.
- Mitigate Risk: Utilize deep manufacturing and logistics expertise to proactively identify potential operational risks and establish robust preventive measures to safeguard production.
