This role focuses on validating critical dimensions on complex assemblies using advanced precision measurement equipment and software. The metrologist sets up and operates tools such as Coordinate Measuring Machines and laser scanning systems, performs routine inspections and adjustments, and ensures that all measurement activities comply with relevant industry standards. The position requires extensive hands-on experience with Spatial Analyzer and PC-DMIS measurement software and a strong commitment to accuracy, documentation, and continuous improvement in measurement processes.
Responsibilities
You will join a technically focused environment that values precision, high-quality work, and the use of advanced measurement technologies. The organization provides the tools needed to perform at a high level and supports your work with practical benefits such as mileage reimbursement, a monthly stipend, and relocation assistance. Overtime opportunities are available, and tools are provided so you can focus on applying your expertise rather than investing in equipment. This role offers a strong platform to deepen your experience with industry-leading metrology software and systems while contributing directly to the quality of complex, high-value assemblies.
Work Environment
The work environment centers on a technical, measurement-focused setting where precision and adherence to standards are critical. You will regularly work with Coordinate Measuring Machines, laser scanning equipment, torque tools, pressure testing devices, and other advanced measurement tools. Spatial Analyzer and PC-DMIS software are core to daily activities, alongside compliance with ISO, ISO 9001, AS9001, and ANSI Y14.5-2018 GD&T standards. The role involves hands-on work around complex assemblies and calibration equipment, following structured SOPs and preventative maintenance routines. Tools required for the job are provided, and the environment emphasizes accuracy, repeatability, and collaboration with quality and engineering teams.
