Main Responsibilities:
- Adhere to safety precautions and procedures as defined by company policy.
- Drive improvements through Industrial solutions in compliance with the Schneider Production System (SPS) lean principles and conform to safety standards
- Design and develop layouts and methods to ensure the manufacturability of the product.
- Research on the best available techniques to incorporate into the process, and calculate and improve manpower requirements and efficiency, methods, equipment and tools to optimize the manufacturability of products.
- Lead multi-disciplinary teams through industrialization activities for set up and change manufacturing process
- Lead or support Lean/Kaizen activities
- Perform root cause analysis of situations and implement corrective and preventive actions
- Develop assembly processes and work instructions to train workforce
- Provide support for employee suggestion system
- Perform additional tasks assigned by the manager
- Advanced written and verbal skills in English
What will you do?
- Act as L2 support for deployed industrial data transformation solutions.
- Validate bug fixes and software improvements from ETAP and other vendors.
- Support "Go Live" of tools and processes for new sites and products.
- Collaborate with Order Engineering, Quality, Methods, and Adv Mfg to drive continuous improvement with innovative tools and systems.
- Maintain relationships with key stake holders in each Power Systems NAM site.
- Identify opportunities for new initiatives
What skills and capabilities will make you successful?
- Proficiency in SQL and database management systems.
- Ability to understand complex problems and effectively break them down into smaller, manageable components.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills with a continuous improvement mindset.
- Basic knowledge of REST APIs and distributed software architecture.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with a proactive and adaptable approach.
- Experience working in an ETO Equipment facility preferred.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Technical degree with experience or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Manufacturing Engineering
- 3 to 5 years’ experience in industrial mechanical and/or electrical assembly
- Advanced knowledge of Autocad
- Advanced knowledge of MS Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint & Excel) is a requirement
- Experience in Lean Manufacturing Tools (5S, Value Stream Mapping, SMED, Visual management, etc.)
- Ability to interact and lead others in a collaborative environment.
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, problem solving, project management and communication skills
- Experience with change management principles and demonstrated ability to drive and manage the change process
- Ability to set overall priorities and form action plans to implement & monitor for results
