Pay: $20.00 per hour (with overtime potential)

Travel: Required, primarily within the Jacksonville area with occasional out-of-state trips

As we continue to expand, we're seeking a hands-on, technically inclined Installation / Maintenance Technician to join our field services team.


Position Overview

As an Installation / Maintenance Technician, you'll be at the forefront of deploying and maintaining utility submetering technology, including water meters and RF (radio frequency) equipment. Working both independently and as part of a team, you'll ensure accurate installations, perform regular maintenance and meter readings, and support client satisfaction through professional service and communication.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with their hands, solving technical problems, and spending time in the field — with opportunities to grow into more advanced technical or supervisory roles as our company scales.


Key Responsibilities

  • Install, test, and troubleshoot water meters and RF equipment at residential and commercial properties
  • Conduct monthly meter reads and ensure accurate data capture
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues with submetering systems
  • Interact with customers to explain installations and address service-related concerns
  • Coordinate with Project Coordinators and Account Managers to ensure service alignment
  • Travel locally and occasionally out-of-state for installation and service projects
  • Maintain thorough records of all work performed, including logs, service reports, and work orders
  • Use basic computer tools to log work, update reports, and communicate with internal teams


Qualifications

  • 1+ years of experience in field service, installation, maintenance, or a technical trade
  • Strong mechanical or electrical aptitude with a hands-on approach
  • Excellent attention to detail and time management skills
  • Clear, professional communication skills
  • Comfortable working independently in various outdoor conditions
  • Proficiency with basic tools and safe work practices
  • Basic computer literacy (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Valid driver's license and reliable personal transportation
  • Ability and willingness to travel, primarily within the Jacksonville area with occasional nationwide trips
