The role will be based in Alexandria, Louisiana, with frequent travel to Kingston, Ontario.
Main responsibilities of the role include:
General provision of technical input to the Company’s projects and initiatives,
Oversight and management of ongoing metallurgical testing that is focused on process plant definition and enhancing product specifications,
Finalising process engineering activities – including PDC, MEB, PFD, PID, MEL deliverables – and then focus on the support and management of detailed design and engineering/construction vendors,
Training of the local process plant operations team,
Leading role in project commissioning and ramp-up
Undertake work consistent with the company’s Code of Conduct.
Requirements - essential:
Degree in process engineering or metallurgy,
At least 5 years’ – preferably 10 years’ – experience in the inorganic chemical processing or minerals industry, with process engineering, project development and project operations experience,
Exposure to metallurgical process plant engineering and design, with familiarity of process engineering design packages (PDC, MEB, PFDs, P&IDs, and MEL), experience in contributing to their development,
Well-developed process analysis and technical problem-solving skills,
Work independently but able to effectively contribute to the functioning of a cohesive team,
