Job Requirements TheMetal Stud Foremanis a pivotal role bridging the gap between our controlled manufacturing environment and the dynamic job site. This person is responsible for the execution of project operations related to prefabricated cold-formed metal framing (CFMF) systems, CFMF systems, drywall systems, acoustical systems, and other division 9 interior finishes, ensuring the highest standards in quality, schedule, and safety. The ability to Lead projects from through field installation, serving as on-site supervisor of product quality, performance, and execution. The ideal candidate is a proactive leader with deep field experience in CFMF, and experience or interest in how prefab components are assembled, transported, and installed with precision. As we scale up our manufacturing offerings and deliver more integrated building systems, this role will be central to setting the standard for how our products perform in the field.
Responsibilities
- Project Supervision & Execution
- Lead projects utilizing prefabricated and conventional wall panels and other manufactured assemblies, managing small- to mid-sized install crews through field execution.
- Own the daily and weekly onsite installation schedule and sequence. Coordinate with the Field Operations Manager, Production Manager, and Project Manager to align field operations with the broader construction schedule.
- Serve as the primary liaison between the field and the prefabrication shop to ensure alignment on shipping, site logistics, sequencing, and install readiness.
- Quality & Compliance
- Enforce high standards of quality control during install. Review shop-fabricated components upon delivery and escalate issues proactively.
- Ensure field crews are installing components per design intent, engineering specs, and safety standards.
- Maintain a clean and safe job site, promoting a culture of accountability and pride in craftsmanship.
- Technical Expertise
- Interpret shop drawings, installation plans, and architectural/structural details confidently.
- Perform layout of wall, ceiling, and floor systems, ensuring accurate coordination with structural steel, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and other onsite trades.
- Recommend improvements to design, fabrication methods, and install workflows based on field observations.
- Troubleshoot field installation issues and provide quick, practical solutions with minimal disruption to schedule.
- Coordination & Communication
- Collaborate with the Prefabrication Production Manager, Shop Foreman, and Design Teams to surface lessons learned and feed real-world insights back into the design-to-fabrication loop.
- Participate in preconstruction and pre-installation meetings as the field expert on your fabricated systems.
- Maintain daily reporting on field progress, manpower, and material needs.
Work Experience
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in commercial framing or construction supervision, with a preference for experience incold-formed metal framing (CFMF)procurement, assembly, and installation.
- Ability to Travel Regionally from New Orleans. (100-200 Miles) Per Diem and Travel Bonus available.
- Demonstrated ability to lead field crews and hold team members to high standards of quality, performance, and safety.
- Strong communication skills and comfort interfacing with shop teams, project managers, superintendents, and design staff.
- Skilled at reading and interpreting construction drawings, shop drawings, and installation details.
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and highly accountable. Takes ownership of the final product and how it performs in the field.
- OSHA 30 certification preferred.
